TITLE: Office Manager – AEM Center
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have High School Diploma.
- Must have good typing skills and proficiency in the use of computers.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal direction.
- Must be self-directed and have good organizational skills.
- Must be willing to work cooperatively with all members of the AEM Center and PaTTAN staff.

JOB GOAL:
Coordinates the production and distribution of braille textbooks. Maintains the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN) – AEM Center library of braille books. Records and reports personnel absences. Processes AEM Center supply orders.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives and processes all book orders for braille books according to established procedures.
- Checks for book availability in the AEM Center library and other sources.
- Keep the PaTTAN AEM website updated with current books available.
- Assigns books to contracted braille transcribers if book is not available elsewhere.
- Enters and maintains records of each book ordered and tracks all correspondence and activity relative to its production and delivery.
- Forwards braille orders to the braille staff for embossing.
- Prepares purchase orders to procure braille books from other sources.
- Gives notice to BLaST business office as purchase orders are complete.
- Prepares invoices for books produced for out of state agencies.
- Prepares board check vouchers for contracted braille monthly.
- Prepares and processes the Federal Quota census annually.
- Receives and processes Federal Quota orders as they come in.
- Inventories supply needs for AEM Center and prepares purchase orders as necessary.
- Prepares evaluations for AEM staff annually.
- Reports AEM Center personnel needs to BLaST IU 17.
- Assists in production of AEM Center formats to support timely delivery.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve (12) months, (260 days), salary, work schedule, conditions of employment in accordance with current BLaST, Intermediate Unit #17 salary schedule and Board of Directors policies governing non-certified employees.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually. |
